With 3 Gold albums, a number 1 spot in the Swedish sales charts, 6 Grammy Awards, 5 P3 Gold Awards (an Award given out by national Swedish radio) and countless other awards Timbuktu is a household name across the country and the most successful hip hop artist in Sweden ever. His album “Alla vill till himmelen men ingen vill dö” was in the Swedish sales charts for 51 weeks straight and in the Norwegian sales charts for 30 weeks straight (peaked at number 7 in Norway).

Together with the live band Damn he has been hailed as one of the best live acts around in basically all the key medias here and he has played the majority of the key festivals in Sweden, Norway and Denmark and he has also performed at The Roxy (Los Angeles), Joe’s Pub (New York), 229 (London), Capetown Jazz (South Africa) and played shows in Addis Abbeba and Koh Tao.

The majority of his material so far has been in Swedish, but there is new material in English in the works. In 2010 he will focus a lot of time on touring new markets.
